The study examines the impact of strategic planning on enhancing project efficiency and effectiveness, with an application to the General Secretariat for Strategic Planning in the Blue Nile Region. The research problem is addressed by investigating whether strategic planning requirements and stages influence project performance. The study is built upon four hypotheses: the impact of strategic planning requirements, stages, levels, and types on project efficiency. Using a descriptive-analytical approach, data were collected through references and a field survey (questionnaire) distributed to a sample of employees at the General Secretariat, followed by statistical analysis using SPSS. The findings indicate that achieving project goals necessitates long-term planning, and setting specific, measurable objectives forms the core of strategic planning. Furthermore, the availability of information is a vital pillar for effective planning that boosts project performance. The study recommends promoting a culture of strategic planning within projects, providing necessary funding for strategic programs, and identifying the political and cultural implications that significantly affect the planning process.
